The sun was brightly shining today and I could even hear the melting snow dripping from our gutters as the sun's heat slowly melts it away. Ethan looked out the kitchen sliding door and immediately hinted that he wanted to play outside. Unfortunately, sunny day or not we are deep in January and winds can still be harsh when you're outside (especially for a 3.5-year-old and almost 4-month-old baby). So I quickly looked around my kitchen looking for something to keep my son's morning fun and interesting. That's when I thought that it would be fun to wrap up our week by baking some cupcakes!
Ethan was super thrilled when I immediately announced that we would be baking cupcakes for daddy today! I just love the look of excitement, concentration, fun, and wonder on his face while baking these cupcakes. Maya played our supervisor as she sat content in the high chair. Marc surprised us by coming home for lunch and he even got to taste Ethan's cupcakes. I'm really enjoying taking these weekly photos of my kiddos, I hope I can keep it going. :-)
The first few photos of Maya were taken with my smart phone. It can be tricky holding a big, heavy camera while taking care of a little wiggle butt. :-)
