Very recently, a group of wedding professionals and I collaborated on a styled shoot. The shoot was created and led by Kaitlin of K.hart Events Design + Planning. When I chatted with Kaitlin to get the details about our project, she enthusiastically shared her ideas and had most of the team gathered and ready to make her vision come to life. I shared her excitement as this was a first styled shoot for both of us.

Kaitlin's vision included an exposed brick wall and an open space so I reached out to a friend who owns a studio in downtown Saint Louis with exposed brick wall and the perfect open space that we were looking for. The setting for our shoot was aimed for an intimate party of two or maybe four. The space had a lot of simple characters in it and I wanted to keep it real by leaving a few elements in the photographs -- i.e. pipes, vents, and knobs.

Signature Bridal provided us with 3 different dresses but we ended up only using two -- You'll notice the displayed dress is white and the other two that the bride wore is champagne with gorgeous bead detailing. I absolutely love these dresses! Our original models had a last minute family emergency so we were so grateful for Sydney and Tyler for stepping in at last minute -- they're a real couple by the way and it shows in all the photos.

The day of our shoot was very cold and rainy which forced us to stay in and get creative indoors. Thankfully later in the day, the clouds decided to hold off on the rain showers and we took this opportunity to make a quick trip to the old church ruins.
