For the past few years my work space was a tiny desk in our dining room that we converted into a make shift office/sitting room. We actually didn't even have a dining table at the time so naturally it became the "utility space". It was cute space, yep I said cute because I had a desk that gave me enough space for a laptop, a lamp, and a couple small desk items. It wasn't so bad starting with a space like that but as my business grew and my kids got bigger I was longing for a decent place where I can focus and get some work done.
This past summer I finally got my wish and we decided to finish our basement. To say that I was excited about this would be an understatement. We decided to reserve a room for an actual office for myself! When construction was finished, that meant that the hunt and shopping begin for me. I chose neutral colors and used blush for a subtle pop of color. Most of my furniture came from IKEA, Amazon, and Weekend's only. I love a good deal as much as the hunt itself!
I may have had a little fun taking these photos, I apologize for so many random detail shots. Also, taking self-portraits is a bit more challenging than what I had expected but it was a lot of fun. So here it is, I can finally say I have an office!
