These are my friends Julia and Matt. I met Julia through one of my best friends from college almost 5 years ago. I am super flattered she chose me to photograph their wedding day up in Iowa. It's going to be in an apple orchard this summer, I seriously can not wait! Congratulations to this fun and kid-at-heart couple!

How did the two of you meet?

We met on Match.com. We found a perfect match in each other after sifting through some weirdos! Not fun weirdos like us!

How did he pop the question?

Matt asked me to marry him during a weekend getaway on Valentine’s Day in Chicago in a funky boutique hotel.

How long have you two been together?

We have been together for about two and a half years.

What are you and your fiance's hobbies?

We love to travel. We also love movies, stand-up comedy, and music. Matt likes cars and airplanes. Julia likes to pretend she’s crafty!

What do you guys do in your free time?

We travel when we can. If we’re home we like hang out with our kids and also surf the web for funny things that will make each other laugh!

What made you fall in love with him/her?

I fell in love with Matt because he saw the real me and can live with how strong I am and actually admired those qualities. What drew me to Julia was how much we were alike. We goof around like middle schoolers and get each others’ random movie quotes.

What qualities do you love about your fiance?

I love that Matt is a happy person. He doesn’t get weighed down by negativity or drama. I love how strong and driven Julia is. Yet she can still manage to have a good time.
